The clasp can either be modern or vintage, but it must be sturdy to compliment the robust nylon coated multiple strand steel stringing that makes each Madison Brie piece not only beautiful, but strong and durable. I have spent many years in the jewelry industry and one of the highlights of my formal training was studying under a designer from Van Clef & Arpels at the Gemologiacal Institute of America in Carlsbad, California. This remarkable study complimented my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing degree.
